ELPI PSYCHOLOGY CLINIC

Jenn Phipps, MSW, Registered Social Worker (SK #3552) 📍Maple Creek, SK
Jenn is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in Saskatchewan. She recently completed her Master of Social Work (degree to be awarded June 2025), with a specialization in Trauma-Informed Clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary. She also recently completed the basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). After 8 years of working in women’s corrections, she is excited to move into private practice to continue developing her therapeutic skills and techniques.
Jenn’s passion is working with people from ages 16+ who have experienced various forms of trauma, as she has observed this to be at the root of their issues with substance abuse, mental illness and criminal behaviours. Of particular interest to her is sexual trauma, including experiences with childhood abuse, sexual assault or involvement in the sex trade/trafficking.
She offers trauma-informed care throughout her interactions with clients, and provides trauma-specific forms of interventions, including EMDR and somatic therapy. Jenn is often amazed and inspired by the resiliency of her clients and is honoured to walk alongside them in their journey of healing.
Jenn describes her clinical framework as eclectic, as she draws from a variety of mainstream theories and approaches, which will be tailored to meet your specific needs in therapy. She prefers a holistic approach which will consider your strengths, the mind-body connection, mindfulness, systems where you are lacking privilege or power, and the role of spirituality. At the core of Jenn’s work is cultural humility, empowerment, anti-oppressive and decolonizing practice. She sees you as the expert of your own life and will support you in achieving your personal goals so that you develop a healthier lifestyle.
